In the original configuration, all oil from the garlock seals on the back of the engine are drained directly overboard by way of a gang drain at the bottom of the cowling. Thus, oil is covering the bottom of the nacelle, landing gear and brakes.

The Raisbeck Oil Residue Collection System will install a tank at the present location of the gang drain by the oil cooler. The tank can then be drained in a timely manner to keep oil off the nacelle, landing gear and brakes.
